About Us

The Story Behind Cheshis House of Love and Grace

Cheshi Owens, CEO and Founder of Cheshis House of Love and Grace, established the organization from a lifelong passion for serving others and a belief that every person deserves to be treated with love, dignity, and grace. The name “Cheshi” embodies dignity, strength, and an uplifting spirit—qualities that define both the founder and the mission of the organization.

Growing up in a large family, Cheshi recognized early on the importance of giving back to the community. She believed that young people should be actively involved in serving others and learning the value of selflessness. Whether cleaning neighborhood yards, distributing food to families in need, or assisting senior citizens with everyday tasks, these experiences taught that even the smallest act of kindness can have a lasting impact. They also instilled a deep sense of responsibility to care for others and strengthen the community.

Inspired by these lifelong values, Cheshi founded Cheshis House of Love and Grace to create a place where individuals and families can find hope, encouragement, and practical support. Through food distribution, youth outreach and leadership programs, and etiquette and life skills training, the organization equips people with the resources, confidence, and guidance they need to thrive.

As CEO and Founder, Cheshi Owens is committed to spreading a message of love through action, encouraging others to serve selflessly, and becoming a trusted community anchor for those in need. Her vision is to inspire individuals to lead with compassion, uplift one another, and build stronger communities where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and grace.

Since our inception, we have been committed to serving vulnerable communities through systematic food distribution, believing that every person deserves dignity and care.
